The Role
Reporting directly to the Secretary, you will play a critical role in developing and delivering innovative communications and marketing strategies to engage members, promote campaigns, and uphold the organisation’s brand values. 
Your responsibilities will include: 
  • Create and manage a range of print and digital materials, including newsletters, flyers, and campaign content
  • Develop and implement digital communication strategies to grow online engagement
  • Manage the organisation’s website and social media platforms, ensuring content is current and engaging
  • Produce high-quality media releases, articles, and briefing materials
  • Liaise with media outlets to amplify campaign messages
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on national campaigns and events
  • Provide monthly reports on campaign performance and digital analytics
  • Ensure all communications align with the organisation’s brand guidelines and values
  
As the ideal candidate you will have:
  • Proven experience in a communications and/or marketing position 
  • Experience working within government or the public sector (desirable but not essential)
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills across various formats
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, WordPress, and MailChimp
  • Experience with social media management, content creation, and analytics tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
  • A proactive and creative approach to work, with strong organisational skills
