About the role:
Working alongside the HR Support Officer, this well varied, collaborative role supports generalist HR functions, including recruitment, workforce planning, training, employee relations and well-being, performance management and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide HR support and advice on employee relations, WorkCover, performance management, and policies
- Assist with recruitment, including advertising, interviews, and inductions
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with employment documentation
- Coordinate staff training and liaise with training providers
- Update HR policies to meet legislation and manage internal system uploads
- Prepare HR reports and contribute to workforce planning
- Promote employee wellbeing and manage EAP access
- Support HR projects that enhance workplace culture
To be considered for this opportunity, we are seeking:
- Previous HR generalist experience in a HR Officer, HR Business Partner or HR Advisor role
- Minimum a Diploma or Cert IV in Human Resources Management
- Experience with HRIS systems including Employment Hero, Employment Innovations and GO1 Training Platform is highly regarded
- Intermediate to strong ER and IR experience
- Previous experience in a community based environment is desirable
- Sound ability to interpret awards and knowledge of the Fair Work Act and WorkCover
- OHS exposure is well regarded
- A bubbly, open-minded can-do attitude with an aptitude for learning and being adaptable to change
