The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Act as the primary contact for billing, invoicing, and payment enquiries, ensuring resolution in a timely manner
- Process end to end payroll on a fortnightly basis using Xero
- Liaise with Engineers, stakeholders and external Accountant to ensure accurate billing and resolve any discrepancies
- Create purchase orders based on quotations and track their status
- Input and process a high volume of accounts payable and receivables accurately
- Follow up on debtors and outstanding invoices with clients
- Contribute to reporting, forecasting, and account liaison to ensure smooth financial operations
- Assist the Office Manager with various administrative duties, including answering phones when necessary
- Participate in finance, systems and payroll projects
What are we looking for?
- Proven experience as an Assistant Accountant/Bookkeeper/Payroll Manager position
- Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced knowledge of Xero
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, receivable, and payroll processes
- Great reporting, analysis and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can build relationships easily
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- A driven and motivated team player who will contribute positively to the company culture
