The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Act as the primary contact for billing, invoicing, and payment enquiries, ensuring resolution in a timely manner
  • Process end to end payroll on a fortnightly basis using Xero
  • Liaise with Engineers, stakeholders and external Accountant to ensure accurate billing and resolve any discrepancies
  • Create purchase orders based on quotations and track their status
  • Input and process a high volume of accounts payable and receivables accurately
  • Follow up on debtors and outstanding invoices with clients 
  • Contribute to reporting, forecasting, and account liaison to ensure smooth financial operations
  • Assist the Office Manager with various administrative duties, including answering phones when necessary
  • Participate in finance, systems and payroll projects 
  
What are we looking for?
  • Proven experience as an Assistant Accountant/Bookkeeper/Payroll Manager position 
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced knowledge of Xero
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable, receivable, and payroll processes
  • Great reporting, analysis and problem solving skills 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can build relationships easily 
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • A driven and motivated team player who will contribute positively to the company culture
