This fantastic temporary opportunity exists in an NFP, with offices in Frankston. This organisation focuses on the management and support of local lands, environmental protection and strategic planning.
The Role
There is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and experienced Assistant Accountant/Finance Officer to provide support to an organisation which gives back to the community. Situated within the Finance Team, you will be providing all- round support.
Your duties include:
- Process end-to-end payroll for 90 employees
- Manage end to end accounts receivable including invoicing and allocation of payments
- Liaise with debtors to monitor outstanding balances
- Completing accounts payable tasks including the provision of supplier invoices and reconciliations
- Complete daily and monthly bank reconcilliations
- Ensure timely and accurate financial processes using MYOB and Employment Hero software
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation for reporting
- Prepare financial statements where required
- Assist the Accountant and manager with other accounting duties
What you will need to succeed?
- Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or Finance Officer role
- Confident managing end-to-end Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and payroll processes
- Experience using accounting software such as Xero (Employment Hero experience also highly regarded)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- High attention to detail with strong accuracy skills
- Accounting degree would be advantageous
- Flexible, adaptable, and always willing to jump in and support the team
- Current WWCC and/or Police Check highly regarded but not essential
